What is difficult is to sell socially, you need a lot of patience, determination and a mindset of “just do it!’

I remember years ago when I first ventured into real estate sales the one part that I couldn’t quite grasp, at least at first was the mindset. It took me a very long time to develop. Fortunately, once you develop it the rest is easy. This is where the “just do it” part comes in.
Don’t think too much about it! Don’t get down if people don’t seem responsive and don’t get too high if people do what you want. Although your goal is to make sales, right now you are just finding prospects and building relationships.

Social selling is like face to face selling except it is done on your computer. This is the part that throws most people for a loop, they think just because it is done on the computer that they have to act a different way than they would in real life. Nothing could be further from the truth. Actually, along with having patience, determination and the right mindset, this is the most important concept to understand. Be yourself, let your personality shine through.
No More Cold Calling
Although you cannot actually hear your prospect, your computer is just a means of communication. In fact, it is no different that your telephone. Communicating is communicating, no matter what the medium is. It is two or more people sharing ideas. Just like with anything else, everything has it’s good, and it’s bad points and communicating, by computer is no different.
